mani monday

Ive seen this picture all over tumblr and pinterest
I tried to do the chevron once before but it turned out terribly!
about a week ago i found myself looking at the dainty squids blog
her nail art game is ON POINT.
she showed me something I would have never thought of
CRAFT SCISSORS
her tutorial here

so I saw the picture above on a friends pinterest and thought OMG I can finally DO THIS!
colors are
Orly-Beach Cruiser
Nails Inc-chelsea embankment (best glitter polish ever, isn't like the other that are more polish than glitter. it comes out how to looks on my nail I normally only use ONE coat! sold at Sephora)
Nina Ultra Pro-Black (such an orignal name)
&Spoiled by wet & wild- Correction Tape
(by the way I really love this spoiled nail polish, its shiny most of the time I dont use a top coat, it dries really fast, and the red one is a really great color oh and its like 2 bucks!)

so I painted them all and LET THEM DRY (seriously)
so I did the left hand by cutting the clear tape and putting it on my nail but when I ripped the tape off it ruined the straight lines

so for my right hand I decided to paint the tape first,

then cut it and place it on the nail
WORKED WAYYYYY BETTER.

What do you think of the craft scissor idea?
if you try it let me see!

monday

This morning I woke up with a sore throat, feeling all groggy and just not happy that I was up at 6 am.
after I went to the Doc I went to Michaels to buy some stuff for a day of crafting!
Ive seen all these DIY tutorials on pinterest to make your shoes sparkly!
After deep cleaning my house yesterday
and being able to see all the shoes I own stashed away in the back on my closet, I saw these ankle brown boots that I've never worn...

so I thought hey maybe I would wear them more if they were
SPARKLY!

New boots!

I made these by poring half a cup of mod podge
and a quarter of glitter
(you dont want there to be more glitter than mod podge.)
if you buy the GLOSSY mod podge it will create that shine on what ever you use it on.
it dries pretty fast and I did about 4 coats because I didn't want to see the dark brown underneath

what do you think of the glitter boots, what shoes would you glitter?
