mani monday

Ive seen this picture all over tumblr and pinterest
I tried to do the chevron once before but it turned out terribly!
about a week ago i found myself looking at the dainty squids blog
her nail art game is ON POINT.
she showed me something I would have never thought of
CRAFT SCISSORS
her tutorial here

so I saw the picture above on a friends pinterest and thought OMG I can finally DO THIS!
colors are
Orly-Beach Cruiser
Nails Inc-chelsea embankment (best glitter polish ever, isn't like the other that are more polish than glitter. it comes out how to looks on my nail I normally only use ONE coat! sold at Sephora)
Nina Ultra Pro-Black (such an orignal name)
&Spoiled by wet & wild- Correction Tape
(by the way I really love this spoiled nail polish, its shiny most of the time I dont use a top coat, it dries really fast, and the red one is a really great color oh and its like 2 bucks!)

so I painted them all and LET THEM DRY (seriously)
so I did the left hand by cutting the clear tape and putting it on my nail but when I ripped the tape off it ruined the straight lines

so for my right hand I decided to paint the tape first,

then cut it and place it on the nail
WORKED WAYYYYY BETTER.

What do you think of the craft scissor idea?
if you try it let me see!

lana del rey nails

I'm newly obsessed with Lana Del Rey and her nail art game is on point.
and people that know me know that nail art is one of my top 10 loves.
I started off with a nudeish brown color- sally hansen quick sand to be exact.

took my thin brush red nail polish and made two lines from the top of the nail to the sides, then I colored in the top part.
(if you are not nail art skilled like myself I suggest maybe using tape and laying the tape from the middle point to the sides then coloring in it, and wait till the polish IS COMPLETELY DRY or else your lines will get all smudgy when you pull the tape off.)

I love them, they look saucy.
