love at first swipe

Tinder tinder tinder
"its like window shopping for men"
is how I explain it to my girlfriends.
Tinder is fantastic, and fun
but here are some oh no no's that boys do in the tinder world

Rule #1- Don't post pictures of you and your friends if your friends are hotter than you. thats a super bummer when its 3 group pictures of a bunch of dudes, then the one lonely selfie. the order should be, good selfie, group picture, this is my fun personality picture, this is my hobby picture (me running, me in the woods, me on a bike, me at the gym, me drinking beer (hey Im not judging your hobbies)
Rule #2- Don't post pictures of you and your friends if they are taller than you, also don't put your height in your about me unless its over 6 foot, we don't want to know, just disappoint us in person.
you must be 6'0 to ride this ride
Rule #3-Don't post pictures of you and a baby, I assume its yours and men with babies is too much baggage, this isn't eHarmony.

Rule #4 Dont post pictures of you and a girl, a hot girl, I assume its your girlfriend. Also doing the shitty crop of the blonde next to you is equally bad.

Rule #5-Don't post pictures of you at a wedding, I assume its your wedding when your standing with you arm around the bride and then I take a screenshot and send it to all my girlfriends and we talk about what a scumbag you are.

Dating in the windy city.
let me start with an open letter
Dear every man in Chicago
Running shoes are only acceptable footwear when you are in fact running. ONLY.
running shoes are not meant to be worn out of the gym or the running path on Lake Shore Drive.
here are some acceptable shoes that should be worn on dates, to bars, to restaurants, work, and every where else

I am a sucker for a man in a good pair of dunks.

vans are always hot, I especially love the ones with the suede laces.

and lastly the distressed boot
it took me a while to accept these shoes on men, but now when I see them I love.
with a nice pair of jeans and a flannel
please excuse me while I remove my clothing.

that is all.

so kawaii

I am obsessed with the kawaii culture
everything is cute and shiny and cartoonish.
I wish the whole world was kawaii.

Kawaii (かわいい [kaw͍ai.i], "lovable", "cute", or "adorable"[1]) is the quality of cuteness in the context of Japanese culture.[2][3][4] It has become a prominent aspect of Japanese popular cultureentertainmentclothingfoodtoys, personal appearancebehavior, and mannerisms.[5] The noun is kawaisa (可愛?), literally, "lovability", "cuteness" or "adorableness".
The root word is "kawai", formed from the kanji "ka" (), meaning "acceptable", and "ai" (), meaning "love". The term kawaii has taken on the secondary meanings of "cool",[6] "groovy",[6] "acceptable",[7] "desirable",[7] "charming"[8] "non-threatening", [8] and "innocence".

I've always loved hello kitty and even in high school my side kick was blinged out with a huge obnoxious cellphone charm.
Ive recently been lusting over  kawaii whipped iphone cases.
like these

made by xanadujulie

so I've been determined to make my own, after lots of googling I discovered that people make the little pieces themselves with clay so I went an bought a BUNCH of clay and spend hours watching tutorials on how to make different things.

this girl socraftastic is no joke,
watch her videos and she will teach you everything.

then I watched this girls whipped decoden tutorial video.

and I made....
obviously xanadujulies is better, but Im a beginner.
BUUUUT I am pretty proud of myself for hand making all my little clay pieces!

watch tutorials on how to make waffle molds, chocolate bars, flowers, bears, cupcakes.

and its super fun, when I get better at it I am going to sell these in the etsy store

things in my little Arizona life are stressful, Im like a month behind in my computer class. I wish it was like the movies and tv shows where you can hire some nerd to do all your work for you
nerds... email me ;) )

With the street fair ending this weekend I got a random spurt of creative energy.

I saw a bunch of dreamcatchers at the street fair for 70$ and up. So I went and bought my own hoops and taught myself to weave a dreamcatcher!

tomorrow I plan on buying a small hula hoop
and making a HUGE dreamcatcher.
